2 Year Anniversary and Recent Animal Farm Trip

Can you believe it? In just 3 days will be the 2 year anniversary of this blog! It astounds me! I realized I am most behind on blogging. Sorry chaps, it's just been so blimey busy. And right now is my absolute favorite time of the year. I love fall. The only terrible thing is that it leads into winter. Dismal, dreary winter.

I'll treat you with some pictures of a recent trip Charlie and I took to the animal farm down below Steph's house.

First of all, Jodi insisted on wrapping me up in her sweatshirt. She said she wanted to keep me warm. But I know she's just worried that people will be scared of me. Something about "Panther" being in my name seems to instill fear in people. People don't understand, she says. I'm harmless, folks.

First of all, this sign slightly disturbed me. What kind of warning is it giving? I CAN'T READ IT. IT'S NOT LEGIBLE!

Here they are running up to greet us.

I wonder. Are they envious of my freedom?

I thought I'd just stand on the edge of the gate.

And Steph thought it would be fun to dangle me over it. It was a bit frenzied for a minute. I was not amused.
This bloke was the friendliest one. but also a little attention greedy.

See what I mean?

Charlie decided to join after a bit. He was a little nervous at first. He thought he looked too much like them. He was afraid we'd leave him behind. After assuring him that there would be no such confusion, he really quite enjoyed himself.

The little ones took a liking to him. A certain kinship, I suppose.
I just wanted to try the oats they were feeding them. They were not tasty.

Steph thought she had to pet me on the Petting Area sign. Ha.And then it was time to go. Just a little smootch goodbye.
And another one.

That was a splendid time. I will definitely go back. I am thrilled to say that Jodi and Tasha are coming over here to Steph's tonight. I believe we are going to drive around and look at leaves, and enjoy some fresh cider and apples with caramel. Now doesn't that sound like an absolute delight?

Happy Fall to All!

Boogie

Good morning! Beautiful one isn't it? This morning Ringo and I went for a trek through the woods and boy was it refreshing! Fall is just around the corner so the mornings are crisp and dewy, I sure am loving it!

I know I have been absent lately but I have just been so busy with this beautiful weather and meeting new friends! Last night I met someone very, very...what's the word? Interesting...

Ringo and I approached this fuzzy, pink creature, who appeared to be sleeping for quite some time.

Suddenly he jumped up and started DANCING and SINGING! It was something about hip hop and that he's the dancing Limber Louie and he just can't stop...

At first I was frightened...

He just wouldn't stop bloody dancing!

But then Ringo couldn't resist the urge to boogie along with this "Louie"

Blimey! This little bloke really has some moves!

Ringo was slightly appalled by my "white boy dancing"

This was not my finest moment...at least Ringo is getting a kick out of my humiliation...

After that last picture I decided it was time to go to sleep. I think it will be a while before I invite Louie to play...he is a bad influence...

I think I might take a little cat nap in the spot by the window where the sun is shining through before I go outside to chase some squirrels and take another nap in the grass. I live such a hectic, rough life. Poor me.

Beach Bum

Good afternoon everyone! Hope you all had a very wonderful weekend, mine was quite relaxing. Actually, the past week was quite delightful! Jodi was such a doll to take me on vacation with her. I have never seen the beach so I was tickled when she told me we were going to Myrtle! I made sure I took my camera with me so all of you could see the fantastic time I had.

The night before we left, I met this awkward looking fellow...I am still not sure what he is, but he gave me the willies!

Har har, Jodi...she thought it would be funny to trip me while I was trying to get away from him.

So the next morning we were off, bright and early. I of course have no pictures of that because I slept for the first couple hours...When I woke up, we were in the mountains of West Virginia!

Beautiful, huh? I am ready to see some beach though!

Wow, what is this strange popping sensation in my ears?! I do not like it!

Jodi kept sticking me down here everytime we got to a toll...Thanks

Jodi told me I had to try to hold my breath through the whole thing...I think she is a little looney!

I felt like this tunnel was a transporter, but where will it take us?
Oh, Virginia!

Just chillin' on the dashboard, it was quite sunny!

We made a stop to eat in North Carolina. When Jodi said they had chicken salad I immediately envisioned the most amazing meal of a chicken sitting on lettuce...I found I was quite wrong, so I ate the grapes.

Wow, THIS is what the beach looks and feels like?

You are leaving me here, correct?

The first night someone set off some awesome fireworks right next to us. Of course a cop had to come ruin the fun!

Where's my breakfast in bed? Jodi just laughed at me and walked away...apparently she thought I was joking.

So I put on her glasses and sat on the balcony all day, soaking up the sun.

Working on my tan, I feel like I accomplished so much last week!

Here is the best part of vacation, I made a new friend! This bloke's name is Ringo, and we are pretty sure he is a lemur, but I don't think he even knows for sure. Honestly, things started out a little rough for us. There was some jealousy issues and uncertainty between us.

Here is where we first met, I figured something this small couldn't possibly be any threat to me.

But wait...what's this? A TAIL?! BLIMEY!

Slowly we began to warm up to each other, I even let him share my chair with me.

I am pretty sure he knew the tail was a sore spot for me...I had half a mind to shove him off, but Jodi was watching.

Before long, we were playing pick-up sticks and having a blast!

It was a very long and delicate process, but I of course won the game.

I pretty much avoided actually going on the beach all of vacation. I was perfectly content enjoying it from the balcony, especially after Jodi was stung by a jellyfish. I mean, really, who wants to get eaten by a shark or stung by a jellyfish?!

On the last evening, though, Jodi was able to convince me to at least sit near the shore. I agreed to this arrangement, but not before making Kevin build me a barrier to keep the water away.

On the morning we were getting ready to leave, Ringo and I had to say goodbye to the beach :(

He was very unfamiliar with tunnels, being in a store all his life, so I took the liberty to explain what it was and how you are supposed to hold your breath through the whole thing. He actually tried it! I thought the little fellow was going to pass out!

What on earth is this device? It's ugly! Get it away from me immediately!

Oh...it dispenses candy?!

I'll take that!

Oops, camera malfunction

So that was my week! I am sad it is over, but glad to be home where the deer population is bountiful and all my friends reside. I would like to go again someday soon, but I don't think Jodi and Steph will let me travel alone. I am pretty sure they think I would cause quite a fright for residents down there.

Everyone have a fantastic week!

Charlie : Candy Mountain

This is the only way I can figure out how to post the video, so here it is instead of at the end of the other post like I said.

Honestly, these sisters are quite odd!

My New Friend

Well it is quite a lovely morning out there, isn't it? Lucky for you blokes, I decided to take a break from the hot weather to make a little post for you. I must be quick though, I can't allow the others to have too much fun running through the sprinkler and drinking all my tea while I am away!

I know I am a little late on this but HAPPY BIRTHDAY to a very lovely Jodi. She came to visit me on Sunday, where I was introduced to an interesting creature, more on that later. She didn't stay long, they were all going out to watch the new Harry Potter movie. Honestly, I do not understand the hype, it's not like it's Twilight or something. Maybe I will have to read the books to see what is so great about this Harry Potter bloke. Maybe I can also talk the girls into taking me with them to see the movie next time they go, though I doubt they will take me over their new friend...

Which brings me to this...creature. I suppose Jodi gave it to Steph for her birthday when they exchanged gifts. Steph seemed positively delighted when she saw it, though I wasn't too sure of him at first.
In case you cannot read the name tag, it says "Hello! My name is: Charlie, Leave Me Alone" While many of you may be confused as to why it says that last little part, I included a video at the end of this post with the character that I am sure the creature was named after.

Then I realized he is quite brilliant
We very quickly became friends

Although, he is not too good at playing hide-n-seek

Steph informed us that our "ship" was a gift from Jodi and that after today we would not be able to play in it. So we took full advantage of it for those few short minutes.

Now Charlie, Sunshine Bear, Crocky, Froggy, and I are soaking up the sun while Steph and Nick are at work. They were gone for a week not too long ago and I, being the oldest, was left in charge. Needless to say, they came back too soon so now we have to utilize their work days. I think I just heard Charlie calling my name, I better head out there! It might be my turn on the slip and slide!

Cheerio!
